THE PARTNERS

James Midgley BSc (Hons) MCSP SRP MMACP: DSC00006

James trained at the University of Teesside and is now a Senior Physiotherapist specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and is a State Registered Physiotherapist (SRP) with the Health Professions Council. He is nearing completion of his MSc in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is also a member of the prestigious Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP ), which is an internationally recognised qualification representing excellence in neuro-musculoskeletal physiotherapy. James is also a member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine, has a diploma in injection therapy and is an acupuncture practitioner. He has special interests in manual therapy, clinical reasoning, knee injuries, headaches and spinal conditions.

James also works as a clinical specialist physiotherapist within the NHS, providing advanced assessment and management for individuals with spinal and knee conditions, working directly alongside orthopaedic consultant surgeons. In addition, James works as an advanced physiotherapist within a busy outpatient department and has responsibilities for the clinical development of other physiotherapists.

 

 

Gareth Whelan BSc (Hons) MCSP SRP:036_36_00

Gareth is a graduate of the University of Brighton and is a Senior Physiotherapist specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is a State Registered Physiotherapist (SRP) with the Health Professions Council. Gareth is one of the first physiotherapists in the country to complete a University Certificate in Post-graduate Continuing Education in the Assessment and Management of Shoulder Disorders, a specialist qualification looking at advanced clinical skills relating to shoulder problems. He has recently commenced a Masters program in Advanced Clinical Practice.

As well as being a founding partner in Little Wolf Physiotherapy Gareth is also a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in the NHS, His role involves providing advanced assessment to clients with shoulder problems working directly alongside orthopeadic consultants.He also provides physiotherapy at GP health centres, runs evidence-based management programs for chronic low back pain, and provides specialist shoulder rehabilitation to patients following head and neck surgery.

 

THE CLINICIANS

Tom Karmazyn BSc (Hons) Sports, Biological Recuperation, Physiotherapy MCSP SRP

Tom graduate in 1998 in his native Poland and moved to the UK in 2004. Tom is the only bilingual member of our team, speaking fluent Polish and English. He has been a part of the Little Wolf team since 2008. As well as a member of our team Tom also works as a senior clinician within the NHS.

He has undertaken extensive post graduate training  including a diploma in injection therapy and is currently completing his MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. He is a Certified Mackenzie practitioner as well as undertaken training in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) and the Kaltenborn technique.

Tom is Registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Health Professions Council.
